I might be crazy, then again I might just be crazy like a fox.

Below is a video of Esquire’s new and groovy cover that has - get this - an electric display in it!!

A boring clip, but it illustrates the workings

Okay. Here’s what I think: We’re supposed to get on board with a magazine pushing technology that offers VERY little value add - with respect to the crappy images that can be displayed AND accept the added waste that comes with the magazine?

Sorry I’ll pass. And, just so we’re on the same page - F**K that S***T - do these guys live under a rock ?  Don’t they know those who win are those who use less - or at least that’s the way’s it’s trending. Ugghhh - desperation (the print industry) is not a good look.

Anyways, I’m not the only one who thinks the cover blows - here is George Lois - a legend in his own right, and he thinks from an artistic perspective the cover fails.  Watch the video below - Lois also gives great insight about creativity in general. Specifically, I like his insight about depth of passion and how it lends to creativity, for creativity is not a lighting bolt phenomenon.

be good.
